Synopsis

Academy Award winner Linda Hunt narrates a day in the life of Sharon (Fay Masterson) as she struggles with a recent divorce and a current perception problem. A visually stunning adaptation of Betty Malicoat's short story of the same name. Part live action, part animation, The Crooked Eye dreamily weaves between past and present, delicately painting a psychological portrait of a troubled woman.

Director's Note:

This is actually a story about your relationship with the film's narrator. Where you land emotionally and intellectually at the end of the film is in direct correlation to how you assess our narrator. It's a journey with several outcomes - all determined by you. The film is based on a short story my mother wrote IN 1995. My making of this film was my gift to my mother. The product of our collaboration is our offering to you. We hope you enjoy it.
