Synopsis

Oscar, a 12-year-old from the Nicaraguan Barrios, takes to working on the Nicaraguan streets with the impossible dream of buying himself the latest video game craze.

Filmed on location in Masaya, Nicaragua, El Ladroncito tells the story of the many children who beg in the Nicaraguan streets, and of that one child who, if it occurred to us to give him a chance, just might be able to make a better life for himself. All actors in our film were cast directly from the streets, including our lead actor Lehster Montenegro.
