Synopsis

In the not-too-distant future, every transaction is done through one system, Smart Card. A businessman, Robert Sharpe, is riding home from a long day at work. On the way home his computer navigator makes a request to stop by the local gas station to pick up a couple of household items and to refuel his vehicle. While purchasing the items he encounters a vagrant, Ziggy, who's warning everyone of the conspiracy they are participating in by using one system to track all their personal information. Unconvinced, Mr. Sharpe talks to the Bum only to have his Smart Card stolen from him putting him in the uncharacteristic position of being on the outside looking in. He is not able to enter his automobile, talk on the phone, or communicate even with a gas station clerk. His only way back to society is to take matters into his own hands. He's advised to try a newly created Smart Device, so an event like this will never happen again. But Mr. Sharpe's decision to try the new Smart Implant Chip is the wrong one, as he will soon find out.
