Synopsis

Four slightly over-the-hill guys finish a basketball game on their New York neighborhood court. A debate develops about who loves the game the most. It becomes a meditation on dedication, pride and basketball. The language is musical, the rapport amusing, the debate Socratic.

"New Yorker Martha Pinson's rhythmically dancing basketball tale, Don't Nobody Love the Game More Than Me beautifully captures humanity's real hero, the spirit who refuses to give up trying, even in the face of ridicule. A movie that will surely inspire anyone who has ever dreamed and has never ceased to keep dreaming! The film won the Award for Best Movie and Gordon Grinberg won for Best Editing. All of us here in Toronto eagerly await her next masterpiece!" -- Toronto Online Film Festival

Endorsement From Director Sidney Lumet:

"I've just looked at 'Don't Nobody...' It's wonderful. It's so tender and funny and deeply touching, and because of the passions of the people in the movie, it's somehow very romantic... It should be seen!" -- Sidney Lumet

"Don't Nobody" aired as part of the "Man Bites Shorts"/ Independent Lens evening, national broadcast December 2003-January 2004. Website: www.itvs.org
