A curious assortment of regulars at a San Francisco dive bar orbits around a wealthy eccentric (James Cagney) who regularly holds court at the salty watering hole. But his desire to see people “live their dreams” will set in motion a series of events with mixed consequences. Adapted from the Pulitzer Prize-winning play by William Saroyan, the cast of characters in this engaging comedy-drama is rounded out by Paul Draper, William Bendix, James Barton and James’ own sister, Jeanne Cagney.
