Synopsis

A tiny witch tries to milk an immense cow. Things get out of control.

A Note From The Filmmaker:

My son, who was 3 or 4 at that time, and I were taking a lot of long walks in order to avoid my controlling loving mother. That was fall of 1990 and collective farms were still in effect. One of the things they did was gather all the straw after the rye and wheat were harvested into huge, about 6 meters high 50 meter long, stacks. We'd climb up the stacks and slide down, as they were snowy hills. Thus we played there till some conscientious collective farmer chased us off. The next day one of the stacks was gone. I asked my son where it went and when he shrugged his shoulders, my mother's genes must have kicked in. "Excite your child's imagination" flashed through my head. We created a whole story about a witch and a large cow. I had a very good time conceiving the story, it united me and my son, but I didn't think it was worth anything until Ansis Berzins picked it from the three storyboards I proposed in the Spring of 1991.

Just check out this witch. I felt better -- immeasurably better -- and 2:01 (ha ha) ... that is, after I saw her story.
